Become an Auto Mechanic

If you are looking for a truly recession proof job, becoming an auto mechanic is certainly it! Auto mechanic jobs are always thriving. Why you might ask? The reason is that almost everyone in the U.S. drives a car to get to work, the store, and to entertain themselves and their families. Cars have moving parts and any machine with moving parts will break down eventually. Cars naturally break down, but they are also subject to wrecks and other driver induced problems which can cause them to perform badly and break down faster.

When people have a car that doesn't work it can turn into a major problem. They can't go to their job, pick up members of their family, and it can really put a wrench in the cycle of life. Auto mechanics are where these people go to get their car fixed quickly and effectively. No matter what cycle the economy is in, people need their cars and auto mechanics are pretty much recession proof. To be an auto mechanic you must have knowledge of all kinds and makes of cars and understand how to repair brake systems, engine and gasket systems, and really anything else that can go wrong with a car.

Most mechanics get paid be the hour and most mechanics start at $15 dollars an hour. Most shops like you to have at least 3-5 years of experience as car repairs are based a lot on customer service. Many people come back to the same shop that worked on their car as they build a relationship of trust.
